Seme x Uke

I keep reading people who tell me how much they love my Near x Mello art, so I've noticed that many foreign fans simply don't know that the order matters (^^);
I'd like to leave a small explanation here for those who didn't know about this.

The order matters a lot. Seme x uke: the first character is seme, and the second character is uke. If you change the order, the meaning changes completely. Albeit I've noticed that many foreign fans don't care about who's seme or who's uke, Japanese people (and yours truly) do. The mechanics aren't the same.

If you told Japanese fans that you've drawn an A x B doujinshi, yet B turns out to be the seme, they'd be pissed (^^);
Labeling things properly is important so that fans can know what kind of pairing you're featuring!

Just for the record, I only draw Mello x Near, never inverted. To call my art in the inverted way is not accurate (and kinda makes me headdesk a bit, because my brain seriously bleeds at the thought of Near as seme) ;;

Como sería un Near x Mello en vez de Mello x Near... ._.··· No me lo podría imaginar a Near de seme y Mello de uke... xDD

I can undersand how annoying it can be, yet I think that sometimes people are lazy with it. as for myself, when I don't think it's clear I do not care about the order, does that matter then too?

tirol draws convincing seme!Near. (^.^ he doesn't look all too cuddly lovable there but "cool".

but MN is agreed upon 100% D: i find that most nm anything is.. anti-Near. (>__< which makes my fangirl heart bleeeeed.

I found that out a while ago, but sometimes I just forget. I have a certain order in which I say names. I suppose with me being a yaoi fan, I need to take this more into consideration.

XD I sometimes do that with MattxMello, I usually say it as MelloxMatt, thought I do like Mello better as uke. The way the fanbase is, it can be interchangeable very easily. Though I ALWAYS say MelloxNear. I CANNOT imagine, Near seme. It's just incomprehendable.

I sometimes mess that up, but now that I've noticed more and more, I keep trying to go back and fix it... But sometimes people just don't get it.
Near as seme would just be... wrong. Like something important just died and that had to be the outcome of it.
